A remarkable shift have been observed in the agricultural practices which have led to improvement and development in agriculture parallel to which have cause ecological damage along with negative human health effects. This have led agricultural practices move towards Bio based applications, proving fruitful to animal as well as mankind.

The Krishi Jivan Amrut Fortified Compost Fertilizer Advantage :

The compost process used to produce the final base fertilizer is especially effective and is implemented as per suggested methodologies recommended by various research institutions. When composted properly, the animal and green agri-wastes are converted into humus – the relatively stable, nutrient rich and chemically active organic fraction found in rich, fertile soil. In STABLE humus, there is practically no free ammonia or soluble nitrate, but instead, a large amount of nitrogen is tied up as proteins, amino acids and other biological components. Most other nutrients are stabilized as well.

This type of good compost is considered a “safe” fertilizer. Being low in soluble salts, it doesn’t ‘burn’ plants and is less likely to cause nutrient imbalance. It can also be safely applied directly to growing crops.

What is special about the compost processed used to manufacture the KJA fortified Base Fertilizer

Amongst many other precautions and care taken, following are of importance for the yield high quality compost:

An initial carbon to nitrogen ratio between 25:1 and 40:1 exists in the ‘pile’.
2. Approximately 20 to 25 species of beneficial composting microbes are applied to enhance the composting process. Some species enhance the process by generation of heat, whereas others specifically act to remove pathogenic micro-organisms and still others promote the biological activity of the soil. Some variety of strains also aid in eradicating weed seeds thereby discouraging the growth of weeds.
A temperature between 60C and 70C is maintained for at least 3 days using static aerated pile system.
The materials being composted are turned at least 3 times during the composting process.
The very process of composting also helps balance the Ph thereby reducing drastically the acidity of the soil.
